Burst pipe, no water or a sewage backup? Send an urgent request

Drain Cleaning & Sewer Services

A drain that clogs twice in a year is not a drain problem, it is a pipe problem. A camera inspection after the blockage is cleared shows whether you bought a fix or a postponement.

Common signs

Signs you need drains & sewer

  • The same drain keeps clogging after being snaked
  • Multiple fixtures back up at the same time
  • Gurgling from a toilet when the washing machine drains
  • A sewage smell in the yard or around the foundation
  • One patch of lawn is unusually green or soggy
  • Drains slowed down gradually over months rather than suddenly

Typical jobs

10 kinds of work under drains & sewer

Drain cleaning

Kitchen, bathroom, laundry and floor drains cleared mechanically without damaging the pipe.

Clogged toilet and branch lines

Clearing obstructions in the toilet trap or the branch line serving a group of fixtures.

Main sewer line clearing

Cabling or jetting the main line that carries all waste from the building to the municipal sewer or septic tank.

Hydro jetting

High-pressure water scouring that strips grease, scale and root hair from the pipe wall — not just punching a hole through the clog.

Sewer camera inspection

A recorded video survey of the line showing exactly what and where the problem is, with the footage handed to you.

Root intrusion removal

Cutting tree roots out of a sewer line and advising whether lining or replacement is the durable fix.

Trenchless sewer repair

Pipe bursting and cured-in-place lining that replaces a failed sewer without excavating the whole yard.

Sewer line replacement

Full excavation and replacement where the existing line is collapsed, bellied or beyond lining.

Sewer line locating

Tracing and marking the depth and route of a buried line before any digging happens.

Storm drain and area drain clearing

Clearing exterior drains, downspout lines and catch basins that flood a property in heavy rain.

FAQ

Drains & Sewer: common questions

Snaking vs hydro jetting — which do I need?

Snaking punches through a clog and restores flow, which is right for a one-off obstruction. Hydro jetting scours the full pipe diameter back to bare wall, which is what grease build-up and root hair actually require. If a line has clogged more than once in a year, jetting is usually the honest answer.

Do I really need a camera inspection?

Not for a single slow sink. You do for a main line that has backed up, because a repeat backup is almost always a defect in the pipe — a belly, a crack, roots or an offset joint — and no amount of cabling fixes those. The camera is how you find out before you pay for the same clearing twice.

What is trenchless sewer repair?

Two techniques that avoid digging up the whole line. Pipe bursting pulls a new pipe through the old one while fracturing it outward; cured-in-place lining inflates a resin sleeve inside the existing pipe and hardens it into a new pipe. Both need access pits at each end rather than a full trench.

Are chemical drain cleaners a bad idea?

Generally yes. They are strongly caustic, frequently fail to clear the actual blockage, damage older pipes and seals, and make the line dangerous for whoever opens it next. Tell your plumber if you have poured any in.
