A referral service, not a plumbing company.
Pro US Plumbers collects your request and passes it to independent plumbers in your area. They contact you directly, quote their own price and do the work — so you deal with the plumber, not with us. Here is what that means in practice.
- Independent local plumbers
- The plumbers who respond run their own businesses. Pro US Plumbers passes your request along; it does not employ them or do the work.
- They set their own prices
- Each plumber quotes their own price and terms. Pro US Plumbers does not set, quote or guarantee prices.
- Check before you hire
- Ask for the licence number and proof of insurance, and get the price in writing before any work starts.
- No obligation
- Sending a request commits you to nothing. Talk to whoever contacts you, compare, and hire whoever you choose — or nobody.
How it works
Four steps, and you stay in charge
Finding a plumber is easy to put off until something floods. One request can reach local plumbers at once, so you can compare instead of calling around.

Before you hire anyone
Six questions worth asking any plumber
The plumbers who contact you are independent, so the checking is yours to do. These take a few minutes and prevent most of the problems people have with contractors.
- Ask for the licence number
- Plumbing licences are issued by states and some cities. Ask for the number and check it with your state licensing board before anyone starts work.
- Ask for proof of insurance
- A plumber should be able to show current liability insurance. If a job damages your home, that is what pays for it.
- Get the price in writing
- Ask for a written estimate that says what is included, what is not, and how extra work gets approved before it is done.
- Ask what the fault actually is
- A good plumber can explain the cause in plain terms and tell you which repairs are urgent and which can reasonably wait.
- Be careful with large deposits
- Small deposits for parts are common. Be wary of anyone asking for most of the money, or for cash, before any work has been done.
- Get any warranty in writing
- Ask what workmanship warranty covers the job, for how long, and who to call. Manufacturer warranties on parts are separate.
FAQ
Questions before you send a request
If yours is not here, ask the plumber who contacts you, or send us a message through the contact page.
Who are the plumbers?
Independent plumbing contractors who run their own businesses. Pro US Plumbers is a referral service: it passes your request to plumbers in your area and does not employ them, supervise their work or perform any plumbing itself.
Does it cost anything to send a request?
Pro US Plumbers does not charge homeowners to submit a request. Plumbers set their own prices and quote you directly, so ask about any call-out or diagnostic fee before you agree to a visit.
Are the plumbers licensed and insured?
Plumbing licences are issued at state and sometimes city level, and requirements differ, so each plumber is responsible for holding the licence and insurance their work requires. Ask for the licence number and proof of insurance before work starts, and check the licence with your state licensing board.
How quickly will someone contact me?
It varies with your location, the time of day and how many plumbers are available nearby, and Pro US Plumbers cannot promise a response time. For an emergency, shut off the water or gas first, and if anyone is in danger call emergency services or your gas utility.
What areas can I send a request from?
Any state and the District of Columbia. Whether a plumber is available depends on your area, so response times vary; the coverage page lists the states and major metros the request form is open to.
Who is responsible for the work and any warranty?
The plumber you hire. Pro US Plumbers does not perform, supervise or warrant the work, so get the price and any warranty in writing from the plumber before work begins.
Something leaking, blocked or not heating?
Send one request describing the problem. Independent local plumbers can contact you directly with their availability and price, and you choose whether to hire any of them.
